This is a Bearpaw ring with a piece of malachite as it’s centerpiece.
Malachite is one of the first stones I saw that made me fall in love with mineral and ore gems. There was a huge slice of malachite that was supposed to be a table ornament. I’d always appreciated stone, geodes, and such, but seeing this specimen is what made me fall in love.
Prior to this, I’d acquired a small horse dog bracelet from my father when I was around 5. I’d loved turquoise, but it was just pretty. It’s rather normal to like diamonds, rubies, sapphires, turquoise, and the like. But seeing a piece of malachite made me a different sort of person.
This ring is just that. It’s a piece of malachite as the centerpiece of a Bearpaw ring. It’s unique, it’s beautiful, it’s everything I remember about being a preteen on a trip to a shopping mall. It was a unique creation by mother nature that some amazing human beings saw fit to use in their creation.
