Lapis is Latin for stone and lazuli is Latin for blue. The name of the stone in English is essentially a description of a rock that’s blue -- something you don’t see every day. The stone has been traded from Afghanistan for thousands of years. It’s also found in Peru and Russia, but it’s best known for being the blue stone from Afghanistan.
This ring's stone is quite beautiful. The artist insisted on simplicity, which is a wonderful way to have a piece of art that wears well with most wardrobes. Whether formal or casual, this ring makes a great accessory. As of this update, I have two of these. It makes sense, as they pair well together. They don’t pair as well with more detailed work, but with simpler pieces, this piece comes to life.
To care for this ring, check out our care guide. It requires less care than gold or other silver pieces, but check it out for tips that will make my care suggestions make more sense. To size, this ring, check out our sizing guide. It’s a size 8, so it should fit most ring, index, or middle fingers.
