This bracelet was a great find with a bit of a history lesson. It is from Thailand, formerly known as Siam. U.S. soldiers stationed overseas would stop in Thailand(formerly Siam) and thought the bracelets were exquisite enough to bring home as gifts to their significant others. One can see why such a bracelet made it stateside. The sterling silver is accented with a beautiful dark patina. The contrasting effect allows the filigree and chasing to really shine. The fan motif is unique with this style of panel bracelet making it a real discovery for collectors. This bracelet can be worn with something as airy as it is. A linen dress from Ralph Lauren or Anthropologie would be a perfect choice.
