This is a ring by Jeff James Jr. It’s a fun ring with some cool repousse accent details. It has hogans, which are star-shaped pieces that actually represent Navajo traditional houses. It has not one, but two pieces of high-cabbed turquoise. It has four raindrop accents at the top. If you wanted more in a ring, you’d probably need to make it yourself.
Now, I mention this ring being “fun”. What do I mean? Well, there are some rings that you get because they’re easy to wear every day. This ring can be worn a lot, as it’s not exhaustingly heavy, but can you see yourself going to the laundromat in this ring? Probably not. Some rings you get because they’re precious and can only be worn on special occasions. This ring isn’t that delicate. Its design is tough. So if you decided to wear it every day, you could. Not saying that most rings aren’t tough, — sure they are. Artists often put their best work out there. But some may have a monstrous piece of turquoise that’s begging to get banged into the dryer door in our fictional laundromat.
So the ring is something in your collection to be worn whenever you’re comfortable wearing a large ring. And that’s what I mean by fun. It’s a ring you can have fun in. It’s a ring that will certainly catch the eye of onlookers. It’s exactly what I declared it to be, without all the extra words. Get the ring and have fun.
